Phone credit rewards terms
Reach Silver Shield and we'll send K25 of phone credit to your mobile. Reach Gold Shield and we'll send K50. These terms explain how it works and what you need to do to receive it.

The reward
- Silver Shield: K25 phone credit
- Gold Shield: K50 phone credit
The credit is sent to the mobile number saved in your Shield Peacemakers account. We send it using an international top-up service called Ding.
Who can receive the reward
You can receive the reward if all of these are true:
- You are 18 or older. Shield Peacemakers is only for people aged 18 and over.
- You have one Shield Peacemakers account. If we find more than one account for the same person, none of them will receive a reward.
- You have reached Silver Shield or Gold Shield, and we have checked your actions.
- You have a prepaid Digicel PNG or Vodafone PNG mobile number saved in your account.
You can only receive each reward once. If you reach Silver Shield, drop below it, and reach it again, you won't receive a second K25.
People who work for CAVR or Shield, our partner organisations, and their close family members can't receive rewards.
Your phone number
We send the credit to the mobile number saved in your Shield Peacemakers account. Please check it carefully. If the number is wrong, the credit will go to someone else and we can't send it again.
Your number must be:
- Prepaid. We can't send credit to a number on a monthly plan or contract. If you're on a plan, you can save a prepaid number in your account instead.
- Digicel PNG or Vodafone PNG. These are the only PNG networks our top-up service supports.
- Active and able to receive top-ups on the day we send it.
Telikom numbers are not supported. Telikom only allows top-ups from your own phone or your Telikom online account, so we have no way to send credit to a Telikom number.
You can change the number in your account at any time before we process your reward. Once the credit has been sent, it can't be moved to a different number.
How we check and send your reward
Reaching Silver or Gold Shield doesn't send the credit straight away. First, a Shield Peacemakers admin looks at your actions to make sure they're real. We'll aim to send your credit within 14 days of finishing that check.
If we find actions that look made up, copied, or reported more than once, we may hold back the reward or remove it.
Sometimes a top-up fails. This can happen if the number is wrong, the network rejects it, or our top-up service has a problem. If this happens:
- We'll try to send it again, up to three times.
- If it still fails, we'll contact you and ask you to check or update the number in your account.
- If the number isn't fixed within 90 days of our first attempt, the reward is lost and we won't send it.
We use Ding, an international top-up service, to send the credit. Ding and the mobile networks have their own rules and systems. If a top-up is delayed or blocked because of them, that's outside our control.
Credit amounts
Most networks offer K25 and K50 top-ups. If your network doesn't offer the exact amount, we'll send the closest amount available. This may be a little more or a little less than K25 or K50.
Any bonus credit, data, or special offers that come with a top-up are from your network, not from us. Your network's normal rules about credit expiry still apply.
If your network or the top-up service takes a fee that reduces the credit you receive, we can't make up the difference.
What the reward is not
- It's not cash. We can't pay you money instead of phone credit.
- It can't be given to someone else or swapped for anything else.
- It's not a wage or payment for work. Taking part in Shield Peacemakers is voluntary and doesn't make you an employee or contractor of CAVR.
- It's not guaranteed. We can hold back a reward if these terms aren't met.
Fraud and misuse
The rewards are there to recognise real peacemaking in your community. If someone tries to cheat the system, we'll remove their rewards and may close their account. This includes:
- Making up actions, or reporting the same action more than once
- Creating more than one account
- Using someone else's account or phone number
- Pressuring or paying other people to report actions for you
Our decision on whether an action is genuine is final.
Your privacy
To send your credit, we share your mobile number with Ding, our top-up service. We only share your number, and only to send your reward. Ding has its own privacy policy, which applies to how they handle it.
We don't share your name, email, or anything else from your account with Ding. Everything else about how we look after your information is in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to the rewards programme
We may change the reward amounts, the Shield levels, or these terms, or end the programme at any point without notice.
If you've already reached Silver or Gold Shield and we've checked your actions before the change, you'll still receive that reward.
Questions and problems
If you have a question about your reward, or think something has gone wrong, contact us through the contact form. We'll look into it and get back to you.
These terms are run by the Centre for Armed Violence Reduction (CAVR). They follow the laws of Australia. If there's a dispute we can't sort out together, CAVR's decision is final.
